This first card uses an adorable stamp set called Thankful Mice from Lawn Fawn! The mice are seeking out their cheese and are thankful for the food! So cute! Golden yellow, teal, chocolate brown, persimmon... I love them. This card called for some inspiration from nature, so I used kraft cardstock and natural twine to round out the look. I took this card forward into December, and really, any other month of the year, with Christmas inspired colors. The frame was made by tracing rectangles with the Ranger Embossing Marker - I love that thing! It's great for making things for which you may not have a particular stamp, and also for fixing imperfections when using stamps. The watercoloring was done with a cheap set I got at Target. I have other choices for watercolor, but when I want to mix colors, I find myself reaching for this set. I believe you can still get it - so many colors for about $10. They might be marketed for children, but don't let that fool you. These pack a colorful punch! I painted loosely flower-like shapes in the background, adding leaves for filling in areas and also more color. The colors were actually a little too vivid to place the sentiment directly on the watercolor paper, so I added the vellum to mute some of that vibrancy. Supplies used:

I just love the idea of this Clean and Simple challenge! This gave me the chance to make a very adorable Lawn Fawn stamp set the true focal point of my card. I didn't manage to get this post up in time to enter the challenge itself, but I'm still sharing my version! (I'm working on the lighting for a photo area in my craft room, so hopefully soon my photos will be a little more true to the actual color of these gorgeous products!) Products used:
